The Blessing of having a cyst

Shortly after our insurance kicked in I visited the Dr. and he discovered I had a cyst on my ovary. He sent me for an ultrasound, and then sent me for a CT. The day I returned home from my trip to see Hobie, I found out the cyst was 6cm by 4 by4, which didn't mean much to me, but apparently that is large for a cyst and he wanted it out of there. So preparations were made for surgery. Because of this cyst, and the need for surgery, Hobie was able to come for a visit! He came in on Friday. I had told the kids I had a friend coming to visit, and all week they tried to figure out who it could possibly be. I had several conversations like this...
"mom just tell me is it a boy or a girl?' "
"I'm not going to answer that....but do you really think I'd have a boy come and stay while your dad is gone?"
"No, so it's a girl then"
"I'm not going to answer that"
"Well do they have any kids"
"yes 4"
"Boys or girls"
"Boys"
"how old are they"
"About the same ages as you guys"
now angry" I don't know anyone who has 4 boys our ages why can't you just tell us who it is?'

So at the airport Friday night Ellis was the first to spot his dad, he yelled it's dad, and then the others looked over kind of unsure as Ellis jumped up and ran over. In seconds 4 little boys were hugging on their dad!
We spent Fri night, Sat, Sun, Mon, and part of Tues, together. It went by fast but we enjoyed every second. It was so nice to have him here to hold my hand and comfort me.
